ForkdTerms of Use

These terms are between you and Forkd Labs of Adelaide, South Australia ("we", "us"), and cover the Forkd app and Forkd Pro. Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies to the app. Where these terms say more, they add to it. By using Forkd, you agree to both.
Using Forkd
You may use Forkd for your own household's cooking, planning and shopping. Please don't misuse it: don't try to break, overload or get around its limits, don't use it to break the law, and don't use Forkd Pro to process content you have no right to use.
Your content
Your recipes, photos, notes and family details are yours. They're stored on your iPhone and in your iCloud account. When you use a Forkd Pro feature, you give us permission to send the content it needs to our AI provider to produce the result, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Recipes you save from websites, books or other people still belong to their authors. Saving them in Forkd is for your own personal use.
Forkd Pro
- Forkd Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or yearly. The price and what's included are shown in the app before you subscribe.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Your subscription renews automatically for the same period, at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
- If you're offered a free trial, it's shown before you subscribe. If you don't cancel during the trial, the subscription begins and you're charged when the trial ends. Any unused part of a trial ends when you subscribe.
- Apple handles all payments and refunds, under Apple's terms. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Forkd Pro includes fair-use limits on how often Forkie can be used each day and month. Everything else in Forkd keeps working if you reach them.
AI suggestions and allergies
Forkie, Forkd's AI helper, writes and checks recipes, plans and shopping lists. It can make mistakes. Forkd checks what Forkie suggests against its own rules, but no check is perfect.
Forkd helps you spot allergens. It doesn't replace reading labels. Products, brands and recipes change. Always check the label of every product you buy, and make your own decisions about what's safe for your family. Forkd doesn't give medical, dietary or nutritional advice. If someone in your family has an allergy or a medical condition, follow the advice of their doctor or dietitian.
Nutrition figures are estimates, and depend on the products you use.
Changes and availability
We're always improving Forkd, so features may change. We'll try to keep Forkd and Forkd Pro available, but can't promise they'll always be uninterrupted or free of errors.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, or similar laws where you live, that can't be excluded. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Forkd Pro in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending these terms
You can stop using Forkd at any time by deleting the app and cancelling any subscription. We may suspend Forkd Pro for anyone who seriously misuses it.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If a change matters to how you use Forkd, we'll tell you in the app. Continuing to use Forkd after a change means you accept it.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of South Australia, Australia.
